The Free Virtual Soundboard Routing Tool

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 2026

This website operates mainly as a client-side utility tool. Your sound files, folder selections, and settings are never collected, stored, or transmitted anywhere. All of that processing happens entirely within your local web browser. The one exception is the optional feedback form, described below, which does send the information you type into it to us.

What Stays on Your Device

Your sound folder selections, Quickplay categories, color tags, volume levels, and other settings are saved using your browser's local storage (localStorage and IndexedDB), directly on your own device. None of this is sent to us or to any server we control. Clearing your browser's site data for this page will erase these saved settings.

Feedback Form

The optional "Questions or Feedback?" form on the main page is the one part of this site that does send information off of your device. When you submit it, your name, comments, and email address (only if you choose to provide one) are sent to a Google Apps Script endpoint that we control, so we can read and respond to your message. This information is used only to read and reply to your feedback, is not sold, and is not used for advertising or shared with any other third party. If you don't fill out or submit this form, nothing is sent.

The Companion Script (Push-to-Talk & Keyboard Hotkeys)

The optional downloadable companion script runs entirely on your own computer and only communicates with this page over your machine's local loopback address (127.0.0.1). It does not connect to the internet, and it does not send any information to us or anyone else. It has two functions, both of which exist because browsers are not allowed to do these things on their own:

  • Push-to-Talk: it simulates a key press on your own keyboard when instructed to by this page.
  • Keyboard hotkeys: if you assign a hotkey combo to a sound, the script observes your keystrokes locally so it can detect when that combo is pressed, even while this page isn't the focused window (for example, while you're tabbed into a game). It only acts on, and only reports back to this page, combos you've specifically assigned; it does not log, store, or transmit any other keystrokes, and other key presses are discarded immediately without ever leaving your computer.

Both functions only run while the script is running on your machine, and the script never sends anything anywhere except back to this page over your own loopback address.

Third-Party Advertising & Cookies

This website partners with Google AdSense to serve advertisements. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites on the Internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Other Third-Party Links

This page links out to other services, such as VB-Audio Virtual Cable, Ko-fi, and various sound effect libraries, so you can set up and use the tool. We don't control those sites, and their own privacy policies apply once you leave this page.

Children's Privacy

This tool is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. The only personal information this site ever collects is what someone chooses to type into the optional feedback form described above.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
